The Wedding Wood at Champneys

Champneys Tring is part of the largest destination spa group in the world and one of the leading health resorts. Steeped in history this elegant English stately home was opened in 1925. It is set in 170 acres of rolling parkland, with state of the art health and leisure facilities. It is the perfect escape from the stress of everyday life.

Stephen and Isabelle live within the grounds of the world famous spa. They decided to plant a wedding wood instead of offering the usual wedding list to their guests. Working with Sarah at Majestic Trees guests were invited to choose a tree to create Stephen and Isabelle’s wedding wood. Stephen said we just wanted to make it simple and also we felt that the wedding wood would be a wonderful way to celebrate such a special day. To quote Stephen, he says, ‘The co-operation and planning by Sarah was magnificent and the idea has obviously been a success as it has been copied by others!’ The wood has now been planted within the 170 acre estate and Stephen and Isabelle look forward to seeing it grow over the years.

Stephen also said – ‘...we will always be able to remember our wedding and the generosity of our guests’.

Anthea Turner commented that ‘it was a lovely idea and certainly made the purchase of a wedding gift much easier’.
