Pruning is occasionally desirable or necessary to remove dead or diseased branches, improve tree structure, enhance vigour, or maintain safety. We can provide pruning for most of our trees as an aftercare service call for the first few years.
As the trees begin to gain grandeur overtime, it will be necessary to engage a professional arborist, who will have the necessary climbing skills and equipment to access high branches, and be able to recommend what type of pruning is necessary (if any) to maintain or improve the health, appearance and safety of your trees.
We can’t stress enough how important it is to engage a well-qualified and experienced specialist, as pruning mature trees can be disastrous if not done correctly. ‘Tree Men’ who have no professional qualifications or experience can destroy your tree in a few minutes, and rarely carry insurance if something goes wrong! Always hire a professional who carries adequate insurance, is qualified and comes highly recommended. The Arboricultural Association provides an online directory of registered members which can be found here https://www.trees.org.uk/
