This charming cultivar grows with an upright, columnar habit bearing small, deeply lobed leaves. The foliage unfolds bright red in spring, turning deep purple-red in summer, changing to fire-cracking scarlet-red in autumn. Requires a sheltered location away from drying winds. Lovely on its own, in a border or in a woodland. Sun to partial shade. Hardy.
