A deciduous, rounded shrub with dark green leaves which turn a cheery red in autumn. Fragrant white flowers produced in dome-like clusters, with the leaves in May. Ultimate height and spread perhaps 3 m. Fairly undemanding, performing well in most moist but well drained soils. Slow to moderate growth.
